Stock workspaces
Use the stock workspaces to investigate and find information about your stock items. The workspaces differ from the enquiries in that you can:
- See information for more than one item at a time.
- Select an item, and detailed information about it is shown on linked panels.
- Hide and display columns as required. Right-click a list and choose Column selector.
- Filter the lists to only see the items you're interested in. To do this, enter text in the boxes at the top of each column, or select a filter.
- Print and export the lists to an Excel spreadsheet.
- Run related reports.
Use the workspaces to find out key information about your stock items such as:
- Your stock levels
- Your most allocated items
- The cost and profit per stock item.
- The in and out movements for your items.
- Details of stock items with preferred suppliers.

Stock status
Open: Stock Control > Enquiries > Stock Status.
Use this to see an overview of the current status of your stock items, including the quantity in stock, the amount allocated, and the location for a particular stock item.
You can:
- Highlight a stock item and see its details, warehouses and bins, receipts and prices, suppliers, alternative items, memos, comments, and attachments.
- Add columns to see additional information such as the quantity allocated or on order.
- Add a memo to an stock item. Select the item (using the check box) and choose Actions > Add Memo.
- Sort and filter the list of stock items. Use the filter options to find information such as stock items by product group, all stock items in a certain locations, stock items by movement type or a combination of these.

Search for a specific stock item. For example, use the toolbar filter to find a stock item by code or item name.
- View cross-selling items for a stock item. Select the item and select the Cross-sell items panel.
Transactions
Open: Stock Control > Enquiries > Transactions.
Use this to see information about your current stock item transactions such as movement history and allocation details.
You can:
- Highlight a stock transaction and see the details of that transaction.

Sort and filter the list of stock transactions. Use the filter options to see information such as, all transactions related to a specific location, transactions by movement type (sales order or purchase order and so on) or transactions by movement in or out.

Issue Allocation

Issue Allocation
- Out - FOC Stock sent to a customer free of charge. Customer Allocation - Allocation - Customer Stock is reserved for a customer. Free stock is reduced. Stock is moved between warehouses. - Out - Transfer Write Off stock Write Off Stock - Out - Write Off Stock is written off. Reduces the stock for the components of a BOM.
Allocated stock
Open: Stock Control > Enquiries > Allocated Stock.
This shows an overview of your top ten most allocated stock items by warehouse and by bin. The chart in the first panel displays a breakdown of your most allocated stock items.
You can:
- Select a stock item from the chart and see details of the stock levels by warehouse in the lower panels, and the item details, suppliers, alternative stock items, and memos to the right.
- Select a warehouse to see the stock levels by bin and the warehouse details.
Stock profitability
Open: Stock Control > Enquiries > Stock Profitability.
Use this to see the revenue, cost and profit of your stock items. This helps you to identify profitable and non-profitable items.
You can:
- Highlight a stock item and see a list of orders and returns with their cost and profit. Details of the stock item are shown in the right hand panel.
- If you want to see information about an order or return, highlight it in the list and the details are shown in the right hand panel.
- Sort and filter the list of stock items. Use the filter options to see a list of your most or least profitable items.
- Find a specific stock item or transaction. For example, use the toolbar filter to find a stock item by code or name or a transaction by date or value.
Stock analysis codes
Open: Stock Control > Enquiries > Stock Analysis Codes.
This shows you your stock item analysis codes and values.
Who supplies what
Open: Stock Control > Enquiries > Who Supplies What.
Use this to see the information about the suppliers of your stock items. You can see a list of all stock items that have a preferred supplier.
You can:
- Highlight a stock item see the supply details and order history for that item.
- Filter the list to see all items supplied by a particular supplier.
Monthly trading figures
Open: Stock Control > Enquiries > Monthly Trading Figures.
This shows you what you've bought and sold for a selected stock item. You can see this per calendar month and as a cumulative amount.
You can
- Highlight a stock item to see the monthly trading figures (the quantity and value bought and sold per month) for that item.
- Sort and filter the list of stock items, monthly figures or transactions. For example, use the filter options to find information such as stock items by product group or by quantity in stock.
- Search for a specific stock item, month or transaction. For example, use the toolbar filter to find a stock item by code or item name, or the trading figures by month or year.
Move figures from this period to last period
The cumulative value (this period and last period) is accumulated by Sage 200 until you manually choose to change this using the Reset Trading Periods screen. Once you do this the value bought and sold this period is added to the last period figures, and the this period figure is reset to 0.
